Rocky Point Park is at 2800 Murray Street in Port Moody. Check out the Burrard Inlet from the pier, the playground, outdoor pools, or a walk/bike along the shoreline. You can kayaks, sailboats, or paddle boards to enjoy on the Inlet. Bring your own meal and enjoy it at the picnic tables or on the grass (I wouldn't, lots of geese. And where there's geese, there's geese ...). Or grab some fish and chips at Pajo's Fish and chips, The Boathouse or some ice cream at Rocky Point Ice Cream. After your walk/hike go grab a cold brew on Port Moody's Brewers Row - The BC Ale Trail. Check back next week for Photos of the Week on some of the establishments and the Complete Media Network's website for more information.
The walk is 6 km round trip from Rocky Point to Old Orchard Park along the Shoreline Trail which takes about 2 hours. There are two trails, a gravel walking trail and paved path for cyclists. There is so much nature and wildlife to see along the trail. Signs on the path give information about the trees, plants, and birds. Look at the leg poking out from behind the tree.
Complete Photography Media visited Lavenderland in Richmond, BC.
The rows and rows of purple lavender were beautiful and the relaxing, fragrant scent hung in the air.
The bees were buzzing from plant to plant. Although the sight and smells were lovely, it was overpriced and will not take you two hours.
This is a photograph was taken at Pacific Spirit Regional Park. There are trails for walking, horses, and bikes in more than 750 hectares of forest. The park is home to a large variety of plants and animals in the forests, creeks, beaches, cliffs, and bog.
The Heron Trail is 1.2 kilometres long, the Imperial Trail is 1.8 kilometres long, and the Cleveland Trail is 1.2 kilometres long. All three trails' surfaces are semi-firm (packed gravel). The Huckleberry, Hemlock, Salish, and Imperial Loop is 9.2 kilometres. A beautiful, peaceful, shaded walk amongst the trees. The trail is good for dogs, kids, biking, walking, and running.
The Foreshore Trail is a scenic beach trail that goes along the west side of the University of British Columbia (UBC). It passes Wreck Beach and Acadia Beach. It looks towards the Strait f Georgia and to Bowen Island and the entrance of Howe Sound. A warning that Wreck Beach is Vancouver's only nudist beach. Park at Acadia Beach parking lot.
There are a number of recreational and educational activities to do, including beaches, rain forest, and Fraser River estuary.
Orcas spotted off the coast of British Columbia. Killer whales/orcas (Orcinus orca) have the distinctive black back and white belly, a patch behind the dorsal fin, and white eye patch. In BC there are three kinds of killer whales (Resident, Bigg's and Offshore).

"The Happiest Place On Earth" Disneyland
This photo of the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse is in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. On November 18, 1993, “Partners” was installed in front of the castle on Main Street U.S.A. The statue celebrated Mickey Mouse’s 65th birthday. It shows Walt Disney as he looked in 1954 holding hands with a three-foot Mickey. The quote on the plaque says "I think most of all what I want Disneyland to be is a happy place... where parents and children can have fun, together."
At Pixar Pier in California Adventure, a photo of the Incredicoaster after sunset.
The Incredicoaster is a reimagineering of the “California Screamin’” coaster. There is so much to do at Pixar Pier, attractions, dining, and shopping. Ride the Pixar Pal-a-Round and get spectacular views of the park. Dine at the Lamplight Lounge on the pier and take in all the Pixar memorabilia and Knick's Knacks has everything you would want from your favorite Pixar movie.
This is a photograph taken at Bloedel Conservatory at Queen Elizabeth Park. The aviary features great birds like "Mali" a sulphur-crested cockatoo, one of the 120 exotic birds on site. It is a great family outing or even for a date! It is very reasonably priced for an excursion. The views from outside are spectacular so bring your camera!
This is also a photograph taken at Bloedel Conservatory at Queen Elizabeth Park. This is a anthumium (painted tongue) flower, one of 500 exotic flowers and plants under the dome! Go online to reserve a time to go an enjoy the sights!
